What is FIRSTcast?
FIRSTcast is a periodic podcast developed to bring FIRST news, interviews, stories, and ideas to a wide audience in a talk show format. FIRSTcast was founded by Matt Krass, Adam Richards, and Conor Ryan.
What is a Podcast?
A Podcast is an audio file automatically delivered to your computer over the internet. This audio file can be played on your computer or a portable device capable of playing MP3 files (such as an iPod, which is where the name Podcast comes from.) You do not need an iPod to listen or subscribe to a Podcast, just a computer. Two great applications for getting podcasts are iPodder X and iTunes. If you don't want to subscribe to get these podcasts or don't/can't download and install a program to retrieve these files you can download them directly from us by going to the direct download page, which can be found as the last item on our navigation bar on the left.
How is FIRSTcast created?
FIRSTcast is created using several applications: Audacity, Skype, Audio Hijack Pro, and iTunes. You'll have to find out the rest yourself.
How can I get on the show?
If you want to share your expertise, promote a company or team run program, or want to tell the FIRST world about something we are always looking for new guests for future shows. We are interested in all sorts of stories, but if you have a team run service project or run an organization relating to FIRST we are really interested in you. Send us an email.
